Product Care

Each piece of Minz jewellery or accessory has been meticulously handcrafted using a range of high quality materials of mixed metals, beads, semi precious stones, chains and other embellishments. You will notice inconsistencies in the colour, size and pattern of the beads which is our intention. Most of our jewellery components are put together by hand.  Please take care when wearing, as jewellery are very delicate in nature and is susceptible to easy wear and  tear if worn carelessly. Stones may fall out, embellishments may break and as such, Minz will not replace or provide exchanges for anybreakages that occur through rough handling.

Our mixed metal pieces have been lovingly crafted using a variety of different metals. Our non precious chains are either steel or brass. Unless specified sterling silver, the silver components we use are silver plated. Our Sterling Silver (925) pieces are clearly labeled and can be cleaned with a special sterling silver cloth to ensure they do not tarnish. All gold components we use are gold plated. Please take care when using personal care items such as perfume, as some metals can react to the perfume which may result in the metals tarnishing.  Please store your Minz jewellery individually in the silk pouches when they are not being worn.

GENERAL CARE

• Avoid placing excess strain on necklaces, chains or bracelets
• Store pieces individually in a cotton pouch, zip-lock bag or jewellery box to prevent tangling and oxidisation
• Avoid storing pieces in direct sunlight or extreme heat or cold
• Pieces have not been designed to be water proof and may tarnish when exposed to any form of liquids or substances.
Always avoid contact with chemicals‚ such as pool and sea water‚ hair spray and perfume‚ lotions‚ harsh chemicals and even hard water
• Wipe your jewellery pieces with a soft‚ clean cloth after wearing to help remove natural body oils and/or sweat residue
• We strongly suggest that you apply all perfumes or lotions on areas which your jewellery will not be in direct contact
• Silver finished jewellery oxides over time which can lead to the metal darkening and loosing its shine
• For pieces with brass elements. Please note that brass will oxide over time turning into a darker and more vintage looking gold.
You may choose to leave it as it is or use a brass polish to wipe it down
• The finish on gold plated jewllery may fade over time. We take every effort to provide a strong finish to minimise this
